How to accept a job offer and the right way to resign

If you really want the job and are happy with the salary then respond immediately, thank them and say how excited you are.

Don’t hand in your notice until you have received a formal job offer either by email or by post.

Read the contract carefully to make sure there are no surprises and that it includes all the perks and benefits you’ve discussed at interview. If you are happy with it sign it and send it back

If you’re not sure then it’s OK to ask for a couple of days to think about it. You can also contact the company or the recruiter and ask any further questions you may have about the job or the salary. If your questions are about salary, perks or benefits you can phone the HR department or if you want to ask about the job itself contact your interviewer.

Hand in your notice with a letter stating you are resigning from your role as from the date of the letter and thank them for being such a great company to work for.
